Introduction

P3M Works Ltd is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and playing its part in achieving net zero emissions by 2050. As a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME), the organisation acknowledges the challenges of implementing significant changes to its operations, but is committed to identifying and implementing measures that will reduce its emissions.

Baseline Assessment

P3M Works Ltd conducted a baseline assessment of its carbon footprint which includes the energy consumption of the office space and the emissions from employee commutes. The assessment found that the company's carbon footprint for the last 12 months is 46.5 metric tons of CO2/year.

Section 3: Targets

P3M Works Ltd will set targets for reducing its emissions in line with the UK's commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050. The targets will be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). Based on the baseline assessment, the organisation will aim to reduce its emissions by 25% by 2030.

Measures

P3M Works Ltd will identify a range of measures that can be taken to achieve the emissions reduction targets. The measures will be tailored to the organisation's specific circumstances and will take into account the feasibility, cost, and potential impact of each measure. The following measures will be considered:

Energy efficiency improvements in the office space, such as installing LED lighting and using energy-efficient equipment.
Promote remote working: Encourage employees to work from home for a minimum of two days per week, to reduce office energy consumption and travel emissions.
Encourage public transport and carpooling: Encourage employees to use public transport, such as rail travel or carpooling, to reduce emissions from employee commutes.
Reducing paper usage in the office through digital processes and promoting recycling of paper.

Resources

P3M Works Ltd will allocate the necessary resources to implement the identified measures. The resources will include financial and human resources. The organisation will prioritize low-cost or no-cost measures that can be implemented quickly and easily. P3M Works will also appoint a member of staff as an Energy and Carbon Reduction Manager to oversee the implementation of the measures.

Monitoring and Reporting

P3M Works Ltd will establish a monitoring and reporting framework to track progress against the emissions reduction targets. The organisation will regularly report on progress to senior management and other stakeholders, as required by the reporting requirements set out in PPN 0621.

Review and Update

P3M Works Ltd will regularly review the CRP to ensure that it remains relevant and effective in achieving emissions reductions. The organisation will update the CRP as necessary to reflect changes in its operations or the external environment.
